things that make me happy

this is my little page dedicated to all the things that make me happiest. whether it be my favourite tv shows, books, characters, or just general things, i'm compiling them all into one page so i can share them with you!!

the animal crossing games

i love animal crossing!! i love it so much!! i first found the series when my dad got me new leaf when i was seven, and since new horizons came out, i've been completely hooked all over again :)) my favourite villager is tia, she's just so lovely and kind and she always sends me sweet letters. i also love how you can decorate your house and island however you want! my island is named wyvern (like the bipedal dragon of welsh mythology) and it's covered in pink and white hyanciths and streetlamps and peach trees, and my house is fully pink with matching cloud bedspread and table cloth and my favourite song, k.k. lucky, playing in the background :)

red dwarf

now this might sound a little out of place coming from me, but hear me out. this show means so much to me. i started watching it when i was very young, maybe five or six, quite soon after back to earth came out, and i used to watch the dvds of it constantly (the little bbc noise that plays at the beginning still makes me feel so calm and okay). the series helped me out when i was younger and i was dealing with my first symptoms of ocd, because in both the show and books i saw so much of myself in rimmer, and maybe he is supposed to be a bastard, but i love him for making me feel like i wasn't alone with my stupid brain. the show is just so nostalgic for me, and whenever i watch it, especially the first six or so series, i just feel so at home. oh, and i will ship rimster until i die. they're space husbands i'm telling you.

bbc merlin

this is my favourite tv show!! nothing will ever top this!! the medieval aesthetic, the incredible soundtrack, the interpretations of ancient myths and legends, and most of all, the absolutely beautiful relationship between merlin and arthur that goes beyond romance and traverses into a new kind of love entirely. oh, and i can't forget morgana pendragon, who i would marry in a heartbeat. i only found it earlier this year, but i adore it with all of my heart even for its flaws and its horribly depressing themes towards the later series.
